Golden 1 Credit Union Awards More Than $500,000 in College Scholarships to Dozens of California Students

Over 50 scholarships granted to outstanding college-bound students
Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce more than $500,000 in college scholarships have been awarded to 54 exemplary students throughout California. Recipients range from incoming college freshmen to college seniors attending in-state colleges or universities this fall. Each student was selected based on their impactful community involvement and a wide range of academic accomplishments.
“Golden 1 remains steadfast in our commitment to supporting California's next generation of leaders in their pursuit of educational dreams," said Erica Taylor, Vice President of Communications and Community Relations for Golden 1 Credit Union. “Our members and the communities we serve are at the heart of everything we do, and giving back through our annual scholarship program is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in and inspire students across the state.”
Golden 1’s scholarship program provides Credit Union members and their dependents financial assistance valued at up to $20,000 per student, for full-time students who plan to attend accredited, nonprofit two-year community colleges or four-year colleges and universities in California. Awardees receive scholarships based on their academic achievements, community involvement, extracurricular activities, education, and career goals.
“The caliber of applicants we receive for our scholarship program every year is truly inspiring and shows the future of California will be very bright,” added Taylor. “Golden 1 is proud to support students who showcase exceptional dedication and an unwavering commitment to their academic success as well as their communities.
